he University Honors Program transforms lives. Through a curriculum centered on the development of research abilities, our graduates are ready to develop creative solutions to meet the challenges facing our society. And, through our experiential learning opportunities, they are putting these skills to practice while they are still in college.

In the past six years, the Honors Program has assisted over 25 students in achieving nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships like the Goldwater Scholarship, Boren Scholarship, and Fulbright Student Grant. In fact, the national recognition of honors graduates is resulting in increasing numbers of placements in prestigious programs such as the Peace Corps, Teach for America and prestigious graduate programs at schools such as Johns Hopkins University and Harvard University.

An investment in honors is an investment that pays huge dividends–it transforms the lives of our students and transforms the reputation and stature of Georgia Southern University. The foundation of honors is strong and the growth potential is tremendous. Generous support from our alumni and friends continues to enable our students to excel.
