Dale Eric Sundholm
Dale Eric Sundholm was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1968. Prior to moving to Statesboro, he lived in New Orleans and on the Island of Puerto Rico. While living in Puerto Rico, he became an accomplished sailor often crewing on boats involved in races. Dale was exceptionally happy and outgoing in spite of some major medical challenges.
In 1984, Dale and his parents moved to Statesboro and he became a sophomore at Statesboro High School. Dale explored his interest in computers and played soccer and tennis for the Blue Devils. He was fatally injured in an accident in October, 1985. The next year the Dale Eric Sundholm Memorial Scholarship was established by friends in the Bulloch County community to support the attendance of a Statesboro High School graduate to Georgia Southern University.
