Dorothy Murray Fund for Excellence in Music

This scholarship was established in memory Dorothy Murray, a locally renowned pianist. Murray was born in 1910 in Effingham County. During her life, Murray attended Julliard School of Music in New York before she returned to Savannah and taught piano for nearly seventy years. Mrs. Murray served as organist and Director of Music at Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church for forty-two years.
