Glenn E. Bryant Scholarship
Established in 1993, this scholarship memorializes the life and works of Glen E. Bryant, founder of Coastal Utilities Telephone Company. Born in Pensacola, Florida in 1915, Bryant relocated to Hinesville where he lived for over fifty-eight years. During his life, he served as the chairman of Liberty County Hospital Authority from 1957 to 1970, Liberty County Comissioner from 1970 to 1978, and Georgia State Senator from 1979 to 1988. He belonged to the First Presbyterian Church of Hinesville. This scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students from Liberty county who are pursuing any major.
