Hilliard and Roberts University Honors Program Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1999 by Carey Hilliard’s Restaurant and Savannah Toyota.Since 1960, Carey Hilliard’s has been Savannah’s favorite family restaurant. In 1960, Carey opened his restaurant dream in the old National Root Beer stand on the corner of Skidaway Rd. and Sunset Drive. This was Carey’s second attempt at the restaurant business. On December 11, 1982 Carey and his wife Kathleen, tragically died in a plane crash. At just 23 years old, Tim, their son, returned to Savannah taking the role of President & CEO. Savannah Toyota is owned by Steven Roberts, a native of Winter Park, Florida. Roberts earned his degree from the University of Central Florida and is an avid philanthropist. This scholarship is available to members of the University Honors Program.
