Jennifer Mclaughlin Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Jennifer McLaughlin, daughter of Linda and Carl Bleicken. McLaughlin was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from St. Pius X School where she excelled both academically and athletically. Jennifer competed at the collegiate level on scholarship as a cross-country runner and she went on the earn a B.S. in Social Work at the University of Georgia and a M.S. in Social Work at Florida State University. Jennifer’s passion for healthcare shined as she nursed her father during his battle with cancer. She served as a licensed social worker upon her passing in 2010. This scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are healthcare majors within and demonstrate excellence in advocating for or assisting a patient through a challenging healthcare experience. Each academic program in WCOHP can select one student for consideration to WCOHOP scholarship committee. The recipient must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
