John E. “Buster” and Marianne F. Bowen Academic Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1996 in memory of John E. “Buster” and Marianne F. Bowen. Mr. Bowen was born in 1913 in Bulloch County and was known as the founder of Klean Corner Dry Cleaners and Rental Uniform. He was a charter member of the Forest Heights Country Club and Cypress Lake. During his life, Mr. Bowen served on the Board of Directions at Amelia by the Sea Condominium Association and received the Deen Day Smith Award. He was a member of the Statesboro First Baptist Church and passed in 1993. Mrs. Bowen was born in 1917 and lived her life in Bulloch County until her passing in 1985. This scholarship is available to members of the University Honors Program. This scholarship is available to members of the University Honors Program.
