Lancy C. Jen

Mrs. Laney C. Jen, professor at Savannah State University, has been a resident of Savannah since 1973. She was born in Shanghai, China and came to the United States in February 1949 as a student at New York State University majoring in Pulp and Paper Manufacturing. She and her husband, Mr.Yun Jen, settled in the United States after the Communist government took over China.
Mrs. Jen has been active as an educator for the past thirty years. Her teaching career covered high schools and universities in math and chemistry fields. In Savannah, she taught in the Johnson High School, Savannah County Day School, Armstrong Atlantic State University, and presently at Savannah State University.
