Mark Anderson
The Mark Anderson Scholarship in Business was established in 2003 by 1985 alums Mark and Jenny Lynn Anderson. Mark graduated from Georgia Southern with a degree in Management and Jenny Lynn graduated with a degree in Communication Arts/Public Relations. Mr. Anderson serves on the Board of Directors of Ogeechee Technical College and is a partner in SEGA Management and Bulloch Investors. He is also on the Board of Directors of Farmers and Merchants Bank, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro, third Vice Chairman of the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce, and a member of several funeral service related organizations such as the Independent Funeral Directors of Georgia where he serves on the Board. Mr. Anderson is on the Board of United Way of Southeast Georgia, Downtown Development Authority, is a member of the First Baptist Church, and the ATO Alumni Board of Directors. Among his recognitions are being named in the 2000 Class of Leadership and being appointed to various positions. This scholarship is available to a student majoring in the Parker College of Business who is pursuing an Entrepreneurial Emphasis with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The student must be of high moral character and should be considered a leader among their peers. Selection will be made without regard to age, race, area of residence, marital status or religious preference. Should all other factors be considered equal, financial need may be the deciding factor. The scholarship is renewable for 4 years as long as student maintains undergraduate status and maintains requirements of the scholarship.
