Morgan Bass Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Established in 2019, this scholarship memorializes the life of Georgia Southern nursing student Morgan Bass. Bass was born in Tifton, Georgia in 1994. She was a junior at Georgia Southern University and an active member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority and Northside Baptist Church. On April 22nd, 2015, Morgan and four other classmates were traveling to Savannah for their last day of clinicals when they all tragically passed as a result of an auto accident. A bridge on I-16 has been named the “Georgia Southern Nursing Angels Memorial Bridge” in their memory. White nursing coats on crosses also adorn the side of the highway. This scholarship is available to outstanding nursing students.
