Morris Slotin Physical Therapy Scholarship

Morris Slotin Physical Therapy Scholarship

Established in 2002, this scholarship memorializes the life of Morris Slotin. For the first twenty years of his career, Slotin served as a sound engineer for music idols such as the B-52’s, Blue Oyster Cult, Aerosmith, the Talking Heads, and Patti LaBelle. However, he decided to return to school at age thirty-nine and pursue a career in physical therapy. He enrolled in Hunter College in New York City and following graduation, he worked as a senior physical therapist at Manhattan’s Beth Israel Hospital. In 1994, he returned to Savannah and worked full time for CareOne Home Health Services as well as served as a clinical instructor for Physical Therapy majors at Armstrong. The Morris Slotin Physical Therapy Scholarship is for students enrolled in Physical Therapy Program and entering the field of physical therapy as a second career.
