Porter Headlee "Never Settle" Memorial Music Scholarship
The Porter Headlee “Never Settle” Memorial scholarship was started by William “Porter” Headlee’s parents in honor of him. He was a loving son, brother and friend to all the people he shared his life with. He loved music, taught himself to play the guitar and piano and spend hours and hours improving his ability to play on both. Porter believed music was a method of communication and a way to develop friendships, have fun and make people open up and be happy.
Porter lived his life with a “never settle” attitude. He always strove to work hard and move to the next level. He would say you don’t have to settle for where you are in life: “never settle” until you achieve what you desire and deserve.
In the spirit of Porter Headlee, the scholarship is funded to make a difference in a deserving Georgia Southern student’s life.
