Randolph Scott Gunter-Trio Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2002 by the 1990 graduating class of Upward Bound as a way to recognize deserving students participating in one of the national TRIO programs and the honor Dr. Randolph Scott Gunter, director of the program. Dr. Gunter was not only the director of the Upward Bound program at Statesboro High School, but he also served as director of the Educational Opportunity Program at Georgia Southern. This scholarship is available to students who have been active participants in one of the TRIO programs. The student must be attending or plan to attend Georgia Southern during the award period and maintain a full-time enrollment status.
