W. E. Carter

Established in 1998 by Mildred Carter Jenkins and Harrison S. Carter, this scholarship was established in honor of their father and uncle respectively, W.E. Carter. Mr. Carter was a respected businessman in Albany, Georgia, though he hailed from Adel, Georgia. His nephew, Harrison S. Carter, graduated from Georgia Southern in 1966 and served as Vice President and President of Georgia Southern. This scholarship is awarded to students majoring in business and assist the W. E. Carter Chair.
