Wayne and Syble Gay Scholarship
Established in 2013, this scholarship was created by Wayne and Sybil gay to financially support Georgia Southern students. Wayne Gay graduated from Georgia Southern in 1968 with B.S. in Recreation and an M.S. in Recreation Administration in 1973. Syble Gay received three separate degrees from Georgia Southern in 1967, 1972, and 1985, all in Upper Elementary Education. This scholarship is available to rising juniors and seniors who have maintained a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Recipients must be legal residents of Laurens, Emanuel, Jenkins, or Screven County and majoring in Recreation.
