William H. Wallace, Jr. and Dr. Lana Wachniak Scholarship

Established in 2002, this scholarship was created by two Georgia Southern alumni who have continually made an impact on campus. Both Wallace and Dr. Wachniak are avid supporters of the GSU Athletic Foundation, Inc., the College of Arts and Humanities, and the Criminal Justice department. This husband and wife both actively participate in homelessness outreach programs and support scholarships at multiple universities. Dr. Wachniak holds the title of being the first female to be named Professor of the Year in 1988 while Wallace was appointed by Governor Perdue to serve on the Board of Community Health in 2010.
