Ted A. Tucker Endowed Scholarship for Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies

The Ted Tucker WGSS Scholarship was established in 2022 with the support of our alumni donor, Ted Tucker. Ted grew up in the Leefield/Brooklet community in Bulloch County and graduated from Georgia Southern in 1960 with a B.A. in Education. He went to work in Atlanta and soon moved into the field of Human Resources- establishing himself in San Francisco, CA. He began his philanthropy there for LGBTQ+ organizations and programs. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize and award outstanding students in the field of WGSS.
