Gary and Barbara Dorminey Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2003 by Gary and Barbara Dorminey, both of whom attended Armstrong State College and worked at Union Camp. Mrs. Dorminey earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Georgia Southwestern State University. Mr. Dorminey earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Armstrong and went on to attend Auburn University where he received a master’s degree in Business Administration. Mr. Dorminey served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Community First Bank in Carrollton, Georgia. This scholarship is available to two students majoring in Chemistry. Priority may be given to students who are married and working full-time.
