R. Frank Saunders, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2009, the Dr. R. Frank Saunders Memorial Scholarship honors the late Dr. R. Frank Saunders who contributed to the Department of History for countless years at Georgia Southern University. Dr. Saunders was a native of Bulloch County who co-wrote “Swamp Water and Wiregrass: Historical Sketches of Coastal Georgia”. This scholarship is available to full-time junior and senior students majoring in History with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
