Porter Headlee "Never Settle" Memorial Music Scholarship

Established in 2014, this scholarship memorializes the bright life of 2012 Georgia Southern alumnus, Porter Headlee. Headlee was born and raised in Kennesaw, Georgia where he graduated from North Cobb High School in 2007. He continued his education by enrolling at Georgia Southern to study business and music. Porter was described as a free spirit who saw the beauty in everything and everyone. Although he wasn’t here for long, he made the most of his time and touched everyone he met with his smile and outlook on life. This scholarship is available to students majoring in any field of music with first preference going to strings majors, including classical guitar. Students should have at least a 2.5 Overall GPA.
