Craig Harney Professional Communication and Leadership Scholarship

FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAM: The scholarship was created by friends of the late Craig Harney. A Savannahian through and through, Craig never met a stranger and loved everyone he met. Harney began his career at WTOC 40 years ago. He started out as a receptionist for the station while he was studying at Armstrong State University and worked his way up to become the creative director. An uncommonly gifted storyteller at WTOC, he was a light to all who knew him and he will shine over this community always. The scholarship recognizes students pursuing a Master’s degree in Professional Communication and Leadership.

First preference will be for a graduate student enrolled at the Armstrong campus in the Professional Communication and Leadership (PCL) degree program. If no applicant meets this criteria, second preference will be to any graduate OR undergraduate student enrolled at the Armstrong campus in PCL, political science or history.
