Douglas Graves Symphony Strings Performance Scholarship
The scholarship was established in 1996 by an anonymous benefactor of the Georgia Southern University Foundation and was later named the Douglas Graves Symphony Strings Performance Scholarship to honor retired music professor, Dr. Douglas Graves. The scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis each year to an incoming student or a continuing student. In addition to majoring in music, recipients must exhibit leadership qualities and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. The recipient will also be expected to participate in chamber and recital performances. The recipient shall only be eligible to receive the scholarship once during their time of study at Georgia Southern University.
