Dr. Bryan Deever Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2001, this scholarship memorializes the life of Dr. Bryan Deever, formed professor of Curriculum, Foundations, and Reading within the College of Education. Dr. Deever was born and raised in Pennsylvania and served as a school teacher for a number of years. He earned his doctorate from Miami University in 1989 and joined Georgia Southern as a professor soon after where he is credited with the creation of the Doctoral program in Curriculum Studies. Dr. Deever passed in 2000. This scholarship is available to students pursuing an Ed D in Curriculum Studies.
