Emily Clark Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Established in 2019, this scholarship memorializes the life of Georgia Southern nursing students Emily Clark. Clark was born in 1994 and raised in Cobb County, Georgia. She graduated with honors in 2012 from Harrison High School where she cheered for the football and basketball teams. She also was a Stingray All Star Cheerleader. Emily attended Connection Church in Statesboro and was third-year nursing student at Georgia Southern University. She was on the President’s list, the Dean’s list, and on the Executive Council of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. On April 22nd, 2015, Emily and four other classmates were traveling to Savannah for their last day of clinicals when they all tragically passed as a result of an auto accident. A bridge on I-16 has been named the “Georgia Southern Nursing Angels Memorial Bridge” in their memory. White nursing coats on crosses also adorn the side of the highway. This scholarship is available to outstanding nursing students.
