Giacomo Family Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1999, the Giacomo Family Memorial Scholarship was set up under the Georgia Southern University Foundation as an annual fund providing scholarships for marketing students in the Department of Management, Marketing, and Logistics. It was established in honor of the Garney Giacomo Hazeldine family and this fund is in memory of Dr. Mary Hazeldine’s mother. The Giacomo family came from southern Italy in search of a better life which they found in America. The Giacomo Family Memorial Scholarship was endowed in 2011 to awarded to outstanding students majoring in General Marketing or Sales/Sales Management. Students must be at the junior level classification during the fall semester of the award period. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 with a 3.0 in the major if applicable.
