Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund (Education Majors)
The Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund was established in 2001 by the Goizueta Foundation. The Goizueta Foundation’s mission is to empower individuals by partnering with innovative non-profit organizations to produce lasting change in the areas of education and family services.
Incoming freshmen, transfers & graduate students AND current undergraduate & graduate students at Georgia Southern University are
eligible to apply IF they meet the following mandatory criteria. APPLICANTS MUST
1. Demonstrate a clear & strong commitment to becoming a certified teacher EITHER
a. Through enrollment in an initial certification program (B.S.Ed. or M.A.T.) in the College of Education; OR,
b. Through enrollment in a non-COE undergraduate program as a prerequisite for graduate-level (M.A.T.) initial certification.
2. Demonstrate a Latino/Hispanic background; Reside in the USA; AND Possess a legal Social Security number. AND
3. Demonstrate AND clearly and fully document financial need.
All undergraduates are limited to 8 semesters of scholarship funds. All initial certification graduate students are limited to 5 semesters
of scholarship funds. These semester limits are firm, no matter whether a student is enrolled part or full time.
