Cory J. Wilson Memorial Kappa Alpha Scholarship

The Cory Joseph Wilson Memorial Scholarship is offered each year to a member in good standing of the Delta Theta Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity at Georgia Southern University.

Cory, a 21 year old Junior at GSU, collapsed and died in class on January of 2013. It is believed that Cory died from a fatal cardiac arrhythmia. Prior to his death, Cory enjoyed spending time with his family, playing baseball, riding motorcycles and snow skiing. Cory was full of life and laughter and often entertained others with his story telling abilities. Never one to meet a stranger, Cory loved all of his Kappa Alpha brothers and particularly enjoyed meeting new pledges. Though he enjoyed times with others, Cory also understood the importance of education, a strong work ethic and involvement in his community. Cory was quick to volunteer in any crisis and was well known as a kind and loyal friend.

Should no Kappa Alpha Member be eligible, the scholarship can be awarded to any student within Fraternity and Sorority Life.
