Bothwell A. Snag Johnson ROTC Honors Scholarship

Created in memory of Colonel Bothwell A. “Snag” Johnson by members of the Battery C, 214th Antiaircraft Artillery. Colonel Johnson had nearly 33 years of federal and state military service when he retired from active duty in 1965. Upon his retirement, he was promoted to the grade of Brigadier General. He received the State of Georgia’s highest military award, the Distinguished Service Medal. The scholarship is avialable to full time Georgia Southern students with no restrictions regarding major or field of study. The student must also have a direct interest in military training toward a commission in the US Army. Students who qualify for the scholarship must be either at the junior or senior level.
