Southern Greek Housing Scholarship
The scholarship was established in 1997 by Southern Greek Housing Inc., a group of trustees that serve as representatives of all Greek social organizations on the Georgia Southern University campus. Southern Greek Housing Inc. owns and maintains Greek Row. The Southern Greek Housing Scholarship award is given each year to one male and one female student who are members of a Greek social organization that is recognized by the InterFraternity Council or the Pan-Hellenic Association. Each applicant must be at the junior or senior level and have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0. Each applicant must be enrolled full time at the time of the award and must maintain full time enrollment throughout the award period. Personal character, goals for the future and extracurricular activities will be considered. Should all other factors prove equal, financial need may be considered. If, in any given year, there are no qualified male applicants, a second female may be chosen, or the top female may receive a larger award and vice versa.
