Bo and Gloria Ginn Scholarship

Established in 1985, the Bo and Gloria Ginn Scholarship was established in honor of the Ginn’s and their achievements since their attendance at Georgia Southern. Bo Ginn served a U.S. Congressman from 1972 until 1982 and was considered one of South Georgia’s most influential legislators. In 1981, he was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award for his governmental service and in 1991, he was inducted into the Georgia Southern University Athletic Hall of Fame. Gloria Ginn graduated from Georgia Southern in 1956 with a degree in Teaching and Business Education and would be named Beta Sigma Phi’s First Lady of the Year in 1993. This Scholarship is available to incoming freshmen majoring in Political Science.
