Dr. Carolyn Joyner

Dr. Carolyn Joyner received her Ph.D. in clothing and textiles from Florida State University, her M.S. in textiles and clothing from University of Tennessee, her M.R.E from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary and her BSHE from Georgia Southern University.

For most of her career, she worked as a home economist with the University of Georgia Extension Service, including work as State Textiles and Clothing Specialist in Athens. She was a member of several professional organizations.

Her sister and brother-in-law, Beverly J. and Dr. Henry Jack Proctor of Statesboro established the Carolyn Joyner Memorial Scholarship to honor Dr. Joyner.
