Charles Robert Pound, Sr. Scholarship

Charles Robert Pound, Sr., a civic and community leader, was an Upson County native who lived in Bulloch County for most of his life. He served passionately as Auxiliary Services Administrator at Georgia Southern University and contributed to the University avidly. Pound was a charter member of Pittman Park United Methodist Church where he held many titled such as church treasurer, member of the Administrative Board, member of the Henderson Sunday School Class, and member of the Building Committee. He was also a member of the Statesboro Beautification Council, the Mr. and Mrs. Garden Club, and the Ogeechee Lodge #213 F & AM. This scholarship made in his memory by his two sons, Charles Jr. and Dr. J. Pound will be awarded to a student pursuing a mechanical engineering technology degree.
