Howard Lumber Supply has been family owned since the beginning and is currently in its third generation of family ownership. Founded in 1953 HLH has evolved into a full-line distributor of dimensional lumber, engineered wood products, millwork, cornice locks, doors and hardware for the professional contractor and builder.

Consideration may be given to students who are employees of Howard Lumber Company and meet the existing criteria.

At Georgia Southern, students are chosen based on how their backgrounds, academic interests, and other qualities match the designation of the given scholarship, fellowship, or prize fund. Georgia Southern works closely with Financial Aid, Admissions and the College of Graduate Studies and more to ensure that student recipients are selected based on the intent of the fund and the wishes of the donor.
